The Ontario Indigenous Centre of Excellence for Early Years and Child Care is extending an invitation to early years professionals to attend our first Knowledge Exchange Gathering. The purpose of the gatherings is to engage in conversations to consider Indigenous pedagogy in early years environments.
For the initial gathering Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and educators will discuss early learning activities based on the seasonal cycles or the thirteen moons that align with How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.
The launch for the Knowledge Exchange Gatherings will be hosted Wednesday June 19th, from 2-4pm through an online Zoom gathering. This gathering is open to the public and community stakeholders.
Let’s celebrate the gifts and competencies of children!
Registration is now closed. Thank you , to everyone who expressed interest in participating in our Knowledge Exchange Gathering.
Information about upcoming gatherings will be posted shortly.
